Artwork Finder

16:9 Apple TV Shows & Movies Artwork Finder

Find high-resolution landscape Apple TV show and movie artwork as seen in iOS 18 and earlier.

This tool returns iOS 18 and earlier landscape artwork. For current portrait images, use the iOS 26 artwork finder.

How to Use

In 2019, Apple redesigned the TV app so artwork for TV shows and movies used a 16:9 landscape format. This tool fetches that older artwork style, which was used through iOS 18 and earlier. For the newer 2:3 portrait artwork used in iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe, use the current Apple TV artwork finder.

Results are grouped into TV shows and movies. TV shows may include a link to fetch artwork for each season individually. Different titles return different asset types, but common results include CoverArt16x9, CoverArt, PreviewFrame, background images, wide banners, transparent logos, and Apple TV parallax files.

This tool only fetches shows and movies available directly from Apple. Some titles shown inside the Apple TV app through third-party services may not appear if their artwork is hosted outside Apple’s catalogue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use your website with automation tools?
I'd prefer you didn't as it will likely lead to your browser being blocked. If you have automation requirements, take a look at my Hi-Res Apple TV Artwork Shortcut which can be used within Apple Shortcuts to automate the fetching of both 2:3 and 16:9 artwork.

Why does artwork take so long to load?
The preview images are fetched at the highest available size, so they can take a little while to load. You can tweak many returned URLs to resize images yourself, but if a size does not exist Apple may need to generate it first.

How does this work?
I’m not going into the technical details as that would make it more likely the approach would be patched. In broad terms, my server works out the Apple URL your browser needs to query, your browser fetches the data, and my server then parses the response into usable artwork links.

What does the country selector do?
It chooses which Apple Storefront is used for searching; effectively it changes the search results based on what country you search in as different countries have different TV shows and movies available in them. Generally you'll want to set this to be the same as the country you use for the TV app but the option is there to change it as you may be searching for shows that aren't available in your location.

Why can't I find artwork for "insert name here"?
The show or movie is likely not available directly from Apple within the region you are searching. You can try different storefronts, as licensing deals mean some shows are sold by Apple in some regions but not others.

How come artwork from Sweden is in English?
When you perform a search against a specific country, you are only searching their catalogue; it doesn't make any difference to the language returned. I fetch your language from the browser or OS you are using and so that is used in conjunction with the search country to determine what artwork language you should see. For example, if I search "Harry Potter" in Sweden then I see English artwork as my OS language is set to English; if I set it to Swedish, then I see the Swedish artwork. However, if I have my language set to Swedish but search the USA store, then I get English results as the USA store only has US and Spanish artwork. It's a little confusing but to get localised results you'd need to have your OS or browser set to the language you want and search in a store that has that language within it.

What is the parallax artwork?
This is an lsr file used by Apple TV to create its parallax effect. It is essentially a stack of PNG images that move at different speeds as you pan across them.

How can I thank you for this tool?
You can check out some of my personal apps or take a look at the various artwork-related shortcuts I sell on Gumroad. I'd also recommend signing up to my free newsletter, The Dodo Developer, which goes out to over 4,500 subscribers each month.
